A near miss can feel difficult to pin down.
But an easy way to think of it is as an occurrence that may have led to an injury or illness, or damage to your workplace or worksite. For example, if an employee falls but isn’t injured. this is a near miss that should be reported.
Keeping a detailed log of near misses will help you track patterns and potential pitfalls in your health & safety so you can get ahead of them before they turn into full-blown accidents. Our near miss reporting tool makes it easy for you and your staff to log near misses from wherever you are.
