User Researcher

Salary: £30,000- £45,000 (dependent on experience) • Location: Manchester

We’re looking for a User Researcher that cares deeply about user-centred design, incremental lean product delivery, and happy users. It's a chance to work in a maturing SaaS business with a rapidly expanding customer base, launched in three continents and five countries. With nearly 100,000 customers and more than half a million active monthly users, our product set is developing rapidly in core areas and new adjacent areas too. You'll be helping ensure that our customers - both current and future - are front and centre in how we develop our product.

What you'll be doing

BrightHR has a strong user experience and design team which also incorporates user research. We rely heavily on user research to adjust our product direction and iterate all our features, favouring delivering an MVP and seeking feedback from our customers. We have a co-located service and sales team and a highly-engaged leadership team, resulting in an energetic commercial environment that relies on research, strong delivery, measurement and iteration.

You'll be designing & conducting research to understand the users' feelings and opinions of our product and services; identifying customer problems and missing features based on research from customers, prospects, and the market. You'll be collecting and analysing data from many sources, including direct user engagement, feedback, product, and analytics to make recommendations for change.

You'll be working with other user researchers, UX designers, insight and business analysts, and product development teams.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a User Researcher with a good understanding of user research planning, methods, and execution, and practical experience of applying these to support product development. You'll love working collaboratively with others, and will be enthusiastic about being proactive and taking opportunities to get things done.

You'll bring a user's perspective to all your interactions, and have good skills in communicating important insight and balancing that with making pragmatic decisions.
