How do I create a QR code?

First you’ll need to  **add a location**  – if you’re not sure how to do this have a look at the  **How do I setup a geo-location** FAQ.

Then head over to the locations section of your Blip app, tap on the location you want to get the QR code for and select the QR code option at the top.

In here you can click  **New code** to create a new QR code, which will deactivate any QR codes currently being used for that location, then select  **Send code** to email a copy of this new code to yourself to print off.

How do my employees log in to Blip?

Does Blip track my location?

Accepted Answer

If you’re clocking in using geolocations (instead of a QR code), Blip will check your device is within the geofence set by your administrator.  If you have set reminders on Blip, your device’s location will prompt you to clock out when you leave the geofence. Only the time and date when you clock in and out is stored along with the organisation location that you clocked in or out of.  Blip does not track your location.

Can I set reminders to clock in or out on the Blip app?

Accepted Answer

Yes you can! Simply head to settings where you will find a few options for reminders.

For clocking out, you can set a manual reminder to send a notification after an allotted time period such as 8 hours.

As well as the manual reminder, the smart option allows you to recieve automated notifications to clock in and out based on your working pattern or roster set up by your employer.

Finally, there is also a manual break reminder which again allow you to set an amount of time to notify you to end your break.
