Everything you need to know about your Calendar
Learn all about your calendar and what you can see here as well as all of your employees...
Calendar
This is where the teams you setup earlier come in handy, when you login you'll see details of everyone's absence on your calendar, because you're an admin.
If a manager logs in they'll see when other employees in their team are absent but they will only see the type of absence it is for employees that report to them.
And if an employee logs in they'll see when employees in their team are absent but they won't see any details of the type of absence, so if their colleague is off sick this week they'll just see that they were 'Absent' this week on their calendar.
As well as seeing your team's absences on BrightHR you can also sync this with your own personal calendar.
Check out how to sync your calendar and more in our how-to-video.
Mandatory Leave
As well as adding individual absences for your employees you can also add mandatory leave absences and assign this to multiple employees at once, you can even choose whether you want to deduct this from the employees entitlements or not. You could use this to add things like Christmas closures or company wide training days.
To add a mandatory leave absence open up your BrightHR calendar and select the 'Mandatory leave' tab. In here you can click 'Add mandatory leave'.
Then just fill in the name and date, select whether you want to assign this mandatory leave to new starters automatically and add any notes.
Once completed, click 'Assign employees', select which employees you want to assign to this mandatory leave and then 'Save' your changes to add the mandatory leave.
