BrightHR Software / Permissions & sites

Employees have the most basic permission type. They can only access and make changes to their own profile.
Managers (you’ve guessed it) manage other people. As well as accessing their own profiles, they have access to their employees’ profiles, too.
Admins hold all the power. They can access all areas within BrightHR and all employee profiles. There’s nothing they can’t do—they’re your superusers.
Head to Settings in the top right on any page and select Permissions across the top bar.
Find the employee you want to set as an admin from the list - or search for their name at the top.
Next, change their role to Admin using the drop-down list and hit the Save Changes button in the bottom right. You're done!
Your administrator has created teams and allocated you and your colleagues to a team. When you are logged in as an employee you will see your colleagues name, role and location status which has been set by the employee in their profile. Your administrator is the controller of the data and who has access to it, we provide a framework of permissions to allow flexibility. If you are concerned about who has access to your data, you should discuss this with your employer.
This will display a users usual place of work in their profile but will also affect their access to BrightSafe, the health and safety software if you have access to this and will not be able to login to BrightSafe until they're assigned to a place of work.
