How do I create a safe work procedure?

It's super easy and quick to set up a safe work procedure on Brightsafe. Firstly, let's head to the risk management section and head into safe work procedures.

Here, click the 'Add a new Safe Work Procedure' button to get started.

Step 1
In this first section, you'll need to enter some basic details for the safe work procedure you're creating including;

* A title for your safe work procedure.
* The date it was prepared on.
* What activities are involved in the safe work procedure.
* Which organisation and site the safe work procedure was conducted at.
* The exact room, area or workspace for the safe work procedure.
* You can also choose to add in a reference for the safe work procedure.

Once filled in just click 'Save and Continue' to move on to the next step.

Step 2
In the next section, you'll need to enter some details of the people involved in the safe work procedure including;

* Who has prepared the safe work procedure.
* Their job title (if needed).
* Details of the Project/Works manager.
* And who the people at risk are.

Once filled in, again just click 'Save and Continue' to move on to the next step.

Step 3
In this step, you'll need to select what potential hazards are involved in this safe work procedure.
Once selected, click 'Save and Continue' to move on to the next step.

Step 4
Now that you've added the hazards included in the safe work procedure, we now need to select what protective personal equipment (PPE) is required.

If the PPE required is not a default option, you can use the add option tool below to add your own.

Once all your required PPE is added, click 'Save and continue' to move on to the next step.

Step 5
In the next step, we need to identify and record the hazards and risks as well as the equipment and control measures required for each step of the activity. The specifics that we need to include are;
* The step title (describing the activity).
* Details of the potential hazard.
* The risks presented from the hazard.
* The control measures required.

You can add as many steps as you need to identify all hazards, risks and control measures required.

Step 6
In this last step, you'll need to fill in some details on when this safe work procedure is due to be reviewed including;
* The date of the review 
* Who will be assigned to conduct the review
* We'll automatically create a task for the reviewer so that they know when this is due.

Once completed just click 'Save and complete' to complete and save your safe work procedure.

How do I assign E-learning courses to my staff on BrightSafe?

You can assign E-learning courses in a few simple steps!

First, you must have the 'Learning manager' permission before you will be able to do this - if you are an admin, you can enable this in the permissions tab under E-learning or if you are a manager, an admin would need to enable this for them.

Once you have the permission, you can then access the 'Assignment' tab which will have a list of available E-learning courses on either BrightHR or BrightSafe.

Once you have selected your E-learning courses you want to assign, you will then be asked which employees you want to assign and the date that it would need to be completed by.

How do I add more employees into BrightSafe?

Add the employee into BrightHR and then on the next log in to BrightSafe, their information will be synced to BrightSafe.

Why can't I log in to BrightSafe?

Accepted Answer

The main reason why you will not be able to log in to BrightSafe would be down to the place of work not being assigned.

This sits in the settings section of BrightHR and requires an admin to assign you to a place of work.
