BrightHR was last night named winner of the Fast Growth category at TheBusinessDesk.com Business of the Year Awards.

The awards celebrate the very best in business success from across the Northwest, recognising companies that are innovative, disruptive and thriving. A rigorous judging process saw members of the judging panel visit each nominated business before announcing the shortlisted entries, who then presented to the judging panel as to why they should be named the winner.

More than 400 guests attended the black-tie ceremony at the Midland Hotel in Manchester.

Alan Price, CEO at BrightHR, says, “We are absolutely delighted to win this award recognising BrightHR’s incredible year-on-year growth. It’s great to see the hard work of the team recognised and celebrated in this way.

“At BrightHR we maintain a laser focus on customer experience. This, combined with our innovative business model, allows us to adapt and improve our offerings to clients, growing in tandem alongside their businesses. Over 1 million employees are now registered on the BrightHR platform worldwide, which is testament to the speed and agility of our product development. In 2024 alone we have released 79 new features, swiftly adapting to market changes to address customer demand.

“By putting clients at the heart of everything we do, BrightHR has extended the idea of user-centred design into prioritisation, enabling us to relate to the needs of our clients, and prospective clients, as they change. Our system prioritises new feature builds based on insights from clients, ensuring we not only rely on the expertise of our employees, but also the evolving needs of our HR and health & safety clients.

“By rapidly blending technology, innovation, and customer feedback in the development of these new products and features, we nearly doubled our EBITDA from FY23 to FY25. We achieved 39% year-on-year growth from FY23 to FY24, outperforming our year-on-year growth targets.

“I’m incredibly proud of everything BrightHR has achieved; this award is dedicated to our fantastic staff.”
